The Team

Reconnect Retreats is a space where you are seen and heard beyond the roles, masks, and responsibilities you carry each day. Here, all parts of you are welcomed with compassion, curiosity, and care.

Our approach is grounded in modern science and trauma-informed practices. We understand, through Polyvagal Theory, that your nervous system is constantly scanning for safety. Stress, trauma, and life’s pressures can leave the body in cycles of fight, flight, or shutdown. At our retreats, we gently guide you back toward regulation, where your body can rest, restore, and reconnect with others.

Through the lens of Compassionate Inquiry ®, developed by Dr. Gabor Maté, we honor the wisdom behind your patterns and behaviors rather than trying to “fix” them. We hold space with deep listening, inviting you to discover what lies beneath the surface and reconnect with your authentic self.

Our team is trained in trauma, emotional regulation, and somatic practices. We weave together breath, bodywork, movement, meditation, art and mindfulness to help you return home to your body. Healing does not happen in isolation—it happens in safe, supportive community. At Reconnect Retreats™, you’ll find that community waiting to welcome you.

Because you are not broken. You are whole. And here, you are invited to remember that truth.

“The essence of trauma is disconnection from ourselves, from our bodies, from others. Healing is the reconnection.” –  Dr. Gabor Maté

Veronica Mirzac

Reconnect Retreats Founder & Facilitator, Somatic and Trauma Practitioner, Certified - Breathwork Facilitator, Life Purpose Coach, Certified Yoga Teacher, Vedic Astrologer

Through her own journey, Veronica came to understand that healing begins when we learn to truly listen to our breath, our bodies, and the unspoken truth held within. Trained in Compassionate Inquiry ® with Dr. Gabor Maté and deeply rooted in somatic practices, she brings a trauma-informed, heart-centered presence into the spaces she holds.

Her approach is grounded in modern science on the nervous system and trauma while honoring the wisdom passed down through ancient traditions and diverse cultures. Her retreats are invitations for women to pause, soften, and reconnect with the intelligence that has always lived inside them.

Veronica’s vision is to weave communities where you can rest, heal, and remember who you truly are beneath all the responsibilities and roles you play.

Jinny Jacinto

Reconnect Retreats Facilitator, Artist, Compassionate Inquiry® Mentor & Practitioner, Mindful Flexibility Specialist

Jinny’s life has moved through many seasons, from being a Cirque du Soleil contortionist to wife, mother, teacher, and Compassionate Inquiry® mentor. Through these transitions, she has discovered breath as a doorway to process the changing weather of our inner landscape.

Her approach is gentle and embodied. Focused on the body as a whole, she guides you to listen within. She invites awareness of where we hold tension, clarifying strands of inner purpose that may have been clouded by layers of obligation.

She facilitates and opens spaces for creativity and play. Supporting participants as they hold that space to dust off with a brush of compassion what was always there.
