Reconnect Women’s Retreat | Spring Edition

MAY 1 – 3    |   SHARBOT LAKE, ON

This retreat is created for women whose nervous system has been under sustained stress from work, caregiving, emotional labour, life transitions, or simply carrying too much for too long. If you are ready to step away, rest, and return to yourself, this weekend was made for you.

Held over May 1–3, a time long honoured across traditions as the full blossoming of spring, this gathering arrives at a moment when the natural world is in generous, vibrant bloom. It is a seasonal invitation to emerge from whatever has kept you contracted to soften, recalibrate, and remember what it feels like to be well.

When the body remains in a prolonged state of pressure, it doesn’t just feel tired instead it learns to live in protection. Over time, this can show up as anxiety, emotional shutdown, numbness, low motivation, disrupted sleep, or a constant sense of being on edge or quietly disconnected from yourself.

Over the course of the weekend, the body is gently invited out of survival mode and into regulation through:

– nervous system education

– breath and somatic movement

– sound and sensory experiences

– art as a non-verbal form of expression

– and rest, silence, and nature immersion

All experiences are guided by qualified, trauma-informed facilitators who hold the space with care, skill and deep respect for each woman’s pace and boundaries. Nourishment is woven throughout the weekend, with wholesome, thoughtfully prepared meals by a private chef to support your body from the inside out.

We focus on creating a facilitated space free of pressure, expectation, or performance and where the body is invited to soften and regulate at its own pace. This retreat is especially supportive for women who feel emotionally heavy, burned out, anxious, or quietly depleted, and who are ready to engage in gentle, body-based self-exploration within a small, guided group setting.

“We are wounded in relationship and we heal in relationship.” — Dr. Gabor Maté

With warmth and care, Veronica and the Team

FAQs

Is there a deposit required and what is the cancellation policy?

A $500 program deposit is required to reserve your space in the retreat programming. The remaining program balance can be paid in full, or a payment plan can be arranged with Veronica. All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. This policy applies equally to all participants and is confirmed in the Retreat Agreement signed at the time of registration. Due to the limited number of spots available and the operational costs committed in advance of each retreat, we are unable to make exceptions to this policy regardless of circumstance.

Your programming fee includes guided somatic and trauma-informed practices, workshops, circles, group sessions, and retreat facilitation (any program elements listed in the itinerary). Accommodation and related travel services are arranged and paid separately through our TICO-registered travel partner – Origin Travels Inc.
Transportation to and from the retreat is not included.

We do not provide transportation. The location is accessible by car, and there is parking on site. After your registration, you’ll be added to a WhatsApp group chat where you can connect with others and possibly arrange ride shares prior to the retreat.

Yes, our retreat chef prepares wholesome, nourishing meals with care for dietary restrictions and allergies. You’ll be able to share any requirements with us after registration.

Not at all, all practices and workshops are guided and adaptable. You’re invited to participate at your own pace, whether it’s your first retreat or you’re returning to deepen your experience.

Absolutely, in fact, many participants join solo, while others come with a friend or family member. You’ll find plenty of opportunities to connect in group sessions, while also having space for quiet reflection and alone time if that’s what you need.

Accommodation for the retreat is arranged through Original Travel Inc., our TICO-registered travel partner (TICO #50024160). The TICO payment covers accommodation only and is made directly to Original Travel Inc. as a separate transaction.  Retreat programming fees paid to Reconnect Retreats are a separate transaction and are governed by the Retreat Agreement. TICO consumer protection provisions apply to the travel/accommodation component only, not to retreat programming fees.

The retreat itself is not structured as a clinical service, so the retreat fees are not billed as massage therapy or psychotherapy, and we don’t issue insurance receipts for the retreat experience itself. That said, many women have successfully claimed a portion of the cost afterward depending on their extended benefits, especially plans that include coverage for somatic practices, mindfulness-based programs, therapeutic movement, or wellness retreats. This varies greatly by insurer and plan, so it’s something you would need to confirm directly with your provider.

For integration, which is highly recommend after the retreat, we do have a licensed psychotherapist on our team. If you choose to continue with her for post-retreat integration, those sessions are billed separately and can typically be submitted under psychotherapy coverage, depending on your plan. If it’s helpful, below you is a list of questions you can ask your insurance provider to better understand what may be eligible for reimbursement:
1. Do I have a Wellness Spending Account (WSA), Lifestyle/Personal Spending Account (LSA/PSA), or flex credits?
2. Do I also have a Health Care Spending Account (HCSA)?
3. Are trauma-informed wellness programs, somatic healing sessions, or wellness retreats eligible expenses?
4. What specific details must appear on the receipt? (program description, dates, provider info, etc.)
